Well, what a change in the weather. As I said yesterday, the day changed and became quite feisty yesterday - and it did not stop raining all night. Still, we slept like babies and were so cosy up there in what feels like a garret when the weather is at a gale. We decided to move on as we would really like to get as far as possible today, although stopping to smell the roses along the way. We are on a 10 week journey but, shockingly, nearly four weeks have gone. It really does just fly by, whether it be two or ten weeks. We moved on soon after brekkie and travelled back up towards Bagnères-de-Bigorre and then caught the right hand scenic route to Capvern, across Capvern and across to St Gaudens - stopping to get a baguette and some gas for the van. Poor Alan, the weather seemed to dry up and then when he got out the van, the heavens would open - anyway, down to St Girons, and this is where everything starts to pretty up again as we go further back into the Pyrenees to a place called Oust. I won’t bore you too much here, suffice to say, I have now resorted to calling these campsites ahead of time, invariably, to find out in either my pigeon French or in their pigeon English that they don’t open til March - it’s only their gites or statics that are available for rent this time of year. Anyway, we did eventually find a site at Seix which is just before Oust and sits on the River Gironde (we meet again Mr Gironde).

A nice site, but after being hot, hot, hot two days ago, my poor man is cold, cold, cold after his various trips to fill the van with water etc. Anyway, I decided I would knock up a nice warming Cottage Pie which I did and it went down well. Enough for two days, so we have tomorrow’s main meal sorted. We are going to walk into Seix tomorrow to see what mischief we can get up to. Until then, take good care and nighty night
